Major: Electrical Engineering

Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be an engineer.  So when it came time to choosing a college, I knew I had to pick a university where I had the opportunity to show what I can do.  I was accepted to Purdue University and other well-respected colleges in the area; however, Cleveland State University was the school for me.  It's close to home, has a wonderful engineering program, and its right in the heart of the city.

I'm currently an Honors Student majoring in Electrical Engineering at CSU, and in my time here, I've found the faculty and staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful.  You can tell that the professors really care and want you to succeed in your major.

Also, CSU has blessed me with many opportunities that I don't think I would have experienced if I had gone to a different college.  As an undergraduate student, I was able to participate in research with professors and graduate students in the Industrial Space Systems Laboratory (ISSL).  It was such an amazing experience.  I was able to take what I was learning in the classroom and apply it to real-world situations. I've also been actively involved in the Society of Women Engineers where I've met new people and made valuable friendships.  

Cleveland State has helped me to grow from the timid child I once was to the confident woman I am today.  It has given me the education, the experience, and the friendships that I will never forget.
